Young women (18-24ish) that can, with proper makeup, pull off a manga themed look are wanted for a series of portraits. MUA’s and costumers that possess the skills required to participate in such a shoot are invited to inquire.

This shoot would entail colorful wigs (or your own colorful hair), tastefully bold makeup, and appropriate clothing.

Nude Study

Women who are comfortable with their form are wanted for a nude study. I am looking for models to pose for a series of nude or partially nude photos so that I may experiment with lighting and composition. This series will be shot with black and white backdrops. Greenscreen may also be used. Photos may be captured in color or black & white.

This is a TF opportunity. In exchange for your modeling services you will receive all unedited images on DVD. All files will also be available for free download from dmvw Photography’s www.mypicturestore.net website.

Tips and Tricks Coming Soon

To share knowledge is supposed to be a good thing. To that end, I’ve added “Tips & Tricks” to the dmvw Photography site. In the upcoming posts I will be sharing some of what I’ve learned or discovered about taking pictures.

Besides the fundamentals — such as understanding aperture and shutter speed — I intend to draw on my experience with various types of photography to provide practical tips and potentially useful insight.

In addition to tips about general photography, reviews of relevant equipment may be included, as well as tips and tricks relavent to individual cameras and equipment.

As I obviously don’t know everything (though I sometimes seem to think I do), there may be occasional guest contributors to help increase the wealth of free knowledge to be gained by you and the other friends of dmvw Photography.

Once my studio was set up in our new home, I called on my muse for some quick photos. Fortunately for me, she was as pretty as ever. Some of her friends had also been asking for new photos to be added to her own site, too.

She’s going to be starting the fourth grade in a couple of weeks, so there may be some coming school fashion shoots in our future!

Personal Style

I am currently seeking a variety of models for a series of personal style photos. We will use black, white, and/or green screen backdrops. Participants will receive access to unedited copies of all photos from their shoot.

I want to capture images of you in your “on the town” or “night out” attire. If you wear scrubs or a business suit, those would be great outfits to also wear. Maybe you don’t dress up for work. How about your personal style? Do you have a distinctive look, such as gothic, cute, metal, emo, or something of your own making? Please share your look in a TFF photo shoot.

Ages: 15 to 35 – A Parent or guardian must attend all photo shoots involving minors.

Sportswear

Physically fit girls are wanted for a photo series focusing on athletic wear and apparel. Photography will be done outside and on green screen. Participants will receive access to unedited copies of all photos from their shoot.

Please bring your own sweats, shorts, uniforms, tights, warmup wear, and other clothing associated with being physically fit. Props such as water bottles, raquets, balls, bats, hats, or other sports equipment would also be a plus.

The Coming Storm

The Coming Storm is an up-and-coming band out of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. With Marcus Hayes on vocals, Benny Suds on drums, Craig Allen on bass, and Nick Kvilhaug on guitar, The Coming Storm produces a good, solid sound. The band has received local airplay of their original, well developed songs.

Bsuds is drummer in the The Coming Storm band. In addition, he also plays for hire, teaches lessons, and enters drum-off competitions. I took some promotional type shots for him to use to help further his music career.

He also likes to create drum remixes of popular songs, which are shared on YouTube.

Rosie — a preschooler – needed some headshots and other general pictures. We went to the local community college and spent a couple of hours snapping pictures. Her mom had prepared several outfit changes, each one cuter than the last. I hope her photos helped with her plans. I’m thinking this little girl may have a future in advertising.
